[Dt.:] Die Datenbank enthält eine umfangreiche Sammlung der frühen gedruckten Bücher in englischer Sprache von 1473 bis 1700 mit mehr als 100.000 Titeln im Volltext. Die Bücher können geblättert oder Seiten bzw. Illustrationen spezifisch recherchiert werden. Die Bilder können in verschiedenen Größen betrachtet werden, die Ladezeiten sind allerdings recht lang. Der deutschlandweite Zugriff auf die Datenbank von ProQuest wird durch die Förderung der DFG ermöglicht und durch die Universitätsbibliothek Frankfurt a.M. organisiert. - [Engl.:] Early English Books Online (EEBO) contains digital facsimile page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700 - from the first book printed in English by William Caxton, through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War. The collection contains about 100,000 titles.
