This was part of growing global movement which led to the formation of the International Dalit Solidarity Network in 2000. DSN-UK registered as a charity in 2003 and since then has continued to grow as an effective campaigning and advocacy organisation working on caste in the UK. Fields of work are e.g. holding regular seminars and meetings on caste at international and parliamentary institutions, holding governments, organisations and companies accountable to the pledges and promises they have made and rising the researching and recommending policies towards the issues. The website provides further information on the historical background, the scopes of the organisation, hints for taking action and information about up coming events. The annual review offers a deeper insight, dating back until 2003/04.
