"The rich archival documentation available in the Stanford Libraries on the history of artificial intelligence includes important film, video and audio resources, as well as traditional print materials and even early computer files. These materials provide access to a variety of events and activities from Stanford, Silicon Valley, or the artificial intelligence community as a whole, including tours of labs and project, robots in action, and public lectures, to name only a few examples. These materials were captured in both non-digital formats, such as film, audio tape, and text, as well as digital files from the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and Stanford University Medical Experimental Computer Resource (SUMEX) project." French Revolution Images : Iconography from the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France
Published
Stanford, CA : [Verlag nicht ermittelbar]
Notes
Online-Ressource
"The 5,126 images selected for this digital archive concentrate solely on the period from 1787 through 1799, from the years immediately preceding the outbreak of the Revolution through the emergence of Napoleon. Only visual materials directly tied to the Revolution itself are included. The creators of the initial incarnation of the Images anticipated that scholars would use them for their research and teaching purposes, and that the public at large would find in them an important way of learning more about this foundational moment for the French nation. Detailed metadata exists for the images, so that researchers can search by artist, subject, genre, and place. Users can also browse and search within different themes." [self-description]
